the multiplet of peaks you see in the ESR spectrum.  The source of this splitting is the magnetic field arising from nuclear magnetic momets within the molecule.  Generally, for molecules with a spin of I, you see 2n+1 peaks coming from the splitting.  The appearance of the peaks is governed by pascal’s triangle, much like the fine structure in NMR.
